HeadlinesOil & Gas House Committee canvases more funding for NPDC By maritimemag April 29, 2021 ShareTweet 0 Chinazor Megbolu The House of Representatives Committee on Gas Resources has canvassed for more funding for the operations of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC). The Committee Chairman, Mr. Mutu Ebomo, said this in Benin after an inspection of the facilities of the NPDC in Ologbo, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. He buttressed that the company had done better using its facilities to produce hydrogen for domestic consumption. “We are proud of it as an indigenous company. The challenge the company is mostly funds, if not, it has the capacity to do more. “We pray that it gets the right partners and with the federal government, I know that it will do better,” he said. Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Yusuf Miga, also used the opportunity to solicit for more fund in order to enable NPDC improve and meet up with its primary needs. He pointed out that the members of the National Assembly would do their best to hasten the passage of any bill that would bring development to the country. Moreover, the Managing Director, NPDC, Mr. Mansur Sambo, in his address, noted that the company’s facilities were optimally functional since it was inaugurated.
