The Tin Can 2 Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said it collected a total sum of twenty one billion and thirty eight million, four hundred and three thousand, one hundred and eighty four naira (N21,038,403,184.00) between January and November, 2018. This is contained in the press statement made available to our correspondent by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Farouk Abubakar, yesterday. The command said it surpassed the annual target of N17,193,286,038.7 with the sum of 3,845,117,145.30. The figure represent a total 22.4% above the annual target. The statement further stated that the command recorded the sum of N2,274,547,680.00 in the month of November. While commenting on the source of revenue collected by the command, Farouk said all the revenue was generated from the Free Trade Zone. He added that Lagos Free Trade Zone contributed 75% while Lekki Free Trade Zone had 25%.
