Hassan Bello and the agency have both been honoured as the Best Federal Parastatal Chief Executive Officer and Best Federal Parastatal of the Year 2020 (Maritime), respectively. The honour was accorded him by the Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers and Exporters Coalition (SNFFIEC), in Lagos. The National Coordinator, SNFFIEC, Dr. Osita Chukwu, during the presentation, lauded the NSC chief executive for touching, impacting and saving lives through retrieving millions of naira that would have been lost to shipping companies by freight forwarders. He explained that his excellent performance deserves an award, adding that his group is a non-profit making activist organisation, that doesn’t have financial wherewithal to give but has interest in rewarding excellent performance. Chukwu urged Bello to continue the good work he is doing, while using the opportunity to commend the NSC management and staff for supporting their boss in making the agency the best parastatal in the maritime subsector. Meanwhile, the two awards were received on behalf of Bello by the Director, Regulatory Services, Mrs. Ezedinma. © 2020, maritimemag. All rights reserved.
