The husband who is a Cameroonian was stabbed in the neck by the assailant why the wife was killed. It was gathered that some of the domestic workers of Tohouo planned the attack in which the wife of the shipping expert was killed. Both Tohouo and his wife are foreigners living in Nigeria. While the man is from Cameroon, the late wife was from Bulgaria. The late woman was said to have been forced to transfer some money to her attackers after which she was forced to drink acid and suffocated with a pillow. According to a press statement signed by Richard Smith and a copy made available to newsmen, the Regional Managing Director of Africa for A.P. Moller – Maersk, David Williams confirmed the killing of the MD’s wife and the critical condition of the husband. He said, “We are very sorry to confirm that a colleague and his family have been attacked in their residence in Lagos, Nigeria during the evening of 8 December 2019.” “Tragically, the wife of our colleague passed away at the scene. Our colleague is in the hospital, where his condition is critical but stable. The 3 children are all safe and accounted for.” “Our thoughts and deepest sympathy go to the family. We will do whatever we can to support them in this tragedy,” says David Williams, Regional Managing Director of Africa for A.P. Moller – Maersk. “The relatives of the family are in the process of being notified. Relevant authorities are investigating the incident. Maersk is supporting the investigation in every possible way,” the statement read. the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, Bala Elkana confirmed the incident but said he did not want to comment on the identity of the victims. “We have an incident on someone who was attacked with his wife. Both of them were stabbed. The wife died and he is still alive and responding to treatment. Those who carried it out are in our custody.
