Rivers Boat mishap: Lifeless bodies of 2 missing girls recovered, buried

Early on Tuesday, a team of local divers recovered the lifeless bodies of the two missing female infants identified as Little Miss Destiny Amamina and Miss Ngowari Amamina whose whereabouts were unknown up till the early hours of today.

Nigeriamaritime360.com reliably gathered from Okrika, headquarters of Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State that the lifeless bodies were recovered in the creeks by a team of local divers.

The Chairman of the Okrika Local Government Council, Philemon Iwoloma Kingoli, confirmed the recovery of the lifeless bodies after three days of intensive search.

According to Kingoli: “As I speak to you, we are about burying them. And as a council, we have instituted an inquiry into what led to the accident. We’ll not condone act of recklessness on the part of boat users in our waterways again. Strict marine transportation safety must be adhered to by boat operators and their passengers.”
