HeadlinesNews NPA Senior Staff Shower Praises on Hadiza over Staff Promotion, Welfare By maritimemag July 24, 2018 ShareTweet 0 By ZION Olalekan | The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Senior Staff Association has commended its Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman for turning around the fortunes of the workers in two years she has been in the saddle. Hadiza was appointed in July 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari to head the NPA. Speaking with our correspondent in Lagos, President of the NPA Senior Staff Association, Comrade Adamu Y’au commended the MD for ensuring that promotion exercise has now become a standing policy for the staff of the organization. Y’au told our correspondent that Hadiza has also done a lot in terms of welfare of the workers. He said that the union on its part is ready to collaborate further with management in taking the organization to a greater height. According to him, the union and the management are partners in progress, and the union offers advice whenever it feels the management is derailing adding that workers experience has been excellent with Hadiza. “Hadiza came in as a new person into the sector, but we thank God that she happens to be a quick learner, she learned more and she was working well in the environment “We have to talk about welfare, on the staff welfare she is really doing well. “In terms of promotion, this present management has made promotion exercise a policy. Currently there is a process of promotion going on, after this one, the next promotion will kick start and may end possibly before February 2019. “Honestly we appreciate the MD as an individual and her executive management; they are really doing well on the welfare of the workers. “The challenge Hadiza has is this bad roads on our expressway and it is not her own making, she is working tirelessly day and night to see how to resolve the problem of the access road.
