The visit, according to a statement made available to our correspondent on Tuesday, will enable the MD to engage stakeholders on how to make the waterways better. The statement stated that Moughalu will visit the Lagos Area Office of NIWA on Thursday and interact with maritime stakeholders on Friday. The statement reads in part,:”The managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, Chief George Moghalu will be in Lagos for a two- day tour of Lagos area office projects and facilities. “On arrival on Thursday, he will meet the staff of Lagos area office and after, visit some select project and facilities sites. “He will also interface with stakeholders on Friday, chat with the press and other activities that may enrich his understanding of the Lagos waterways architecture.” Recall that the new MD was appointed after the former MD, Senator Olirunnimbe Mamora was given a ministerial appointment. © 2019, maritimemag.
