It also said 11 deaths and 391 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. The breakdown of data on the agency’s website showed that the country has so far tested 948,048 persons since the first confirmed COVID-19 case on February 27, 2020. A further breakdown of data available data on the NCDC’s website revealed that as of Thursday – New Year eve, a total of 87, 510 cases have been confirmed, 73, 713 discharged and 1,289 dead in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. It said, “On the 31st of December 2020, 1031 new confirmed cases and 11 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
