CoverHeadlines NARTO elects new excos on Friday By maritimemag January 29, 2020 ShareTweet 0 Chinazor Megbolu The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) is set to elect new executives on Friday January 31, 2020. The association members made this known to our correspondent in Lagos as preparation for the forthcoming election hots up. It was gathered that the association’s election was initially scheduled for November 27, 2019 but was postponed because the association couldn’t provide a consensus candidate for the post of the president. This was largely because there were about five candidates vying to be the president of the association. The election was said to have been so postponed to avert problems. It was learnt that after some consultations, it was resolved by the association to hold the election on Friday. The Friday election will end the tenure of the current executives led by its incumbent President, Alhaji Kassim Ibrahim Bataiya and Deputy President, Chief Ayoola Sadiku. © 2020, maritimemag.
