By maritimemag January 23, 2021 ShareTweet 0 Segun Oladipupo | A chieftain of the National Association of Governmemt Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Fred Ajuzie, has appealed to the management of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) to carry along service providers in the use of the newly acquired scanners at the ports. He said that the service providers should be allowed to manage the scanners for a period of time before handing them over to the Service for efficient use. Ajuzie urged the Nigeria Customs Service to expedite actions in deploying the much long expected scanners to the seaports. Ajuzie, a former Chairman, Apapa Chapter of NAGAFF, declared that Customs and the service providers should work in harmony for faster clearance of goods He also queried the service on the type of scanners that would be deployed to seaports , seeking to know the terminals that will benefit from the equipment. He expressed worries over the statement credited to the Customs on scanner procurement .
