Kudos & Knocks Kudos: Rare humility of police boss By maritimemag May 20, 2018 ShareTweet 0 The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of RoRo port, Tincan, was seen last week controlling traffic at the bad spot at Coconut axis of the Apapa/Oshodi expressway. The Coconut axis is always very knotty as vehicles refuse to give way to one another. The DPO was on ground to ease traffic and make life bearable for both commercial and private car owners as well as commuters who were sometimes stuck in traffic for hours. He was not just sitting in the police van as other senior officers of his rank would do but defied the scotching sun and personally stood on the road making sure the trucks and other vehicles were orderly. The lanky police Chief Superintendent Officer was practically doing the assignment with visible smiles on his face even though his lieutenants were with him. Investigations by nigeriamaritime360.com revealed that the officer is known for his high disciplinary attitude hence, he condones no iota of indiscipline from both his men and stakeholders. Thumb up for the senior man for leading by example, more is expected from the junior cadre to eschew bribery and extortion that sometimes lead to the menace especially when the boss is not around. © 2018, maritimemag.
