HeadlinesKudos or Knocks Kudos: LASWA’s giant strides on Lagos waterways. By maritimemag June 14, 2020 ShareTweet 0 Kudos to Lagos state government for being proactive and futuristic. The state recently added some ferries to its fleet to tighten its grip on the Lagos waterways. Lagos state government through the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) is not just collecting taxes from the waterways operators, the money is also being ploughed back into the business. The National Inland Waterways Authority ( NIWA), a federal government agency, should wake up and take a cue from LASWA by doing the needful and stop flexing muscles over the control of the waterways which it has not really develop and harness its boundless potentials. More power to your elbow Lagos state government for making transportation through water easy for Lagosians. More of the feat is expected Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu. And don’t forget to create more routes too. © 2020, maritimemag. All rights reserved.
