HeadlinesKudos & Knocks Kudos and Knocks: Nigerian Shippers’ Council By maritimemag July 21, 2019 ShareTweet 0 Ah! ah!! To visit the Nigerian Shippers’ Council anytime it rains now, one needs a canoe to access the gigantic tower housing the highly rated maritime agency. This has become worrisome for stakeholders and operators alike who have one business transaction or the other in the Council. Last week Tuesday like any other day it rains, the number 4, Park Lane office complex was taken over by flood thereby scaring visitors away. This is not good enough for the agency being positioned as the lead agency to administer African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). Again, one of the lifts of the agency is faulty and has been so for a while now and it seems as if there is no end to fixing it. Visitors and staff alike now have to queue up like kindergarten children on assembly ground, waiting to use the elevator. Somebody should whisper in the ears of the agency management that these things erode the honour and pride of the agency. Good environment enhances better performance! © 2019, maritimemag.
