[Knocks] Apapa Customs command: Big revenue, bigger access problem.

The Apapa command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is the flagship of the Nigeria Customs service and the highest revenue earner to the revenue pool of the service

The command posted a whooping N336 billion revenue for the first half of the year, 2021. It is the first of its kind at the command and anywhere else.The unequalled feat drew applause from different corners of the society but it is disheartening that the goose that lays the golden egg is treated with disdain.

Can you imagine that the command that cough out such humongous sum of money for the government is inaccessible once it rains as the entrance is always flooded and rendered impassable for clients and customs officers alike?.

This is a shameful act that needs urgent government attention. The attention is urgent because it dents the image of the country for those who might want to visit the command on excursion,having heard of its feat and revenue prowess.

Again, as the spot gets deeper with every drop of rain, it might require a canoe to enter the command in the nearest future.
