HeadlinesPorts Management Kaduna has murdered sleep, it will know no peace – MWUN By maritimemag May 18, 2021 ShareTweet 0 Segun Oladipupo Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has expressed solidarity with the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Kaduna Council over the ongoing industrial action action in Kaduna In a press statement signed by the Secretary General of the union, Comrade Felix Akingboye, the union said Kaduna had murdered sleep and will know no peace until it purges itself and recant from her evil. “At this trying time in the life of working masses who are incessantly harassed, intimidated, victimised, harangued and eventually sacked at the whims of the insensitive and harsh government of Kaduna state, we must defend our rights to decent work. “We owe it as a duty to make Kaduna state protect the working masses from economic insecurity and not incessant and unabated retrenchment without due recourse to due diligence. “MWUN affirms that it stands behind the National body of the Congress, Kaduna state council and other affiliates on the industrial action. “You are not alone, we will stand together to protect he freedoms that make the labour movement unique.” The union concluded that injury to one of the workers is an injury to all. © 2021, maritimemag.
