News “It’s going to be money for money” – Aniebonam declares as NAGAFF raises over N100m to prosecute CRFFN elections By maritimemag June 6, 2018 ShareTweet 0 Segun Amoo I The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) is leaving no stone unturned towards the forthcoming elections into the governing council of Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria (CRFFN) The Founder of NAGAFF, Boniface Aniebonam, has vowed that his association will fight the other federating members associations of CRFFN “money for money” in a bid to clear all the 15 allotted positions on the board of the council. Consequently, NAGAFF, under the guidance of its founder Aniebonam, has gone into massive mobilisation drive of its members to register for the elections. To ensure that all its members register for the elections, the association has decided to pay for the registration and subscription fees for all its members who may not be able to afford such payment. To this end, five well to do members of the association have donated the sum of N100m to take care of all elections expenses. The Governing Council election is scheduled for the 29th of June, 2018 in Abuja. In a statement by the founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam on Monday through the association’s WhatsApp group monitored by Nigerianmaritime360.com, five members donated N20million each to the association. He therefore advised NAGAFF members who are yet to make second payment and 2018 annual subscription to approach their various chapters to seek for assistance of the association’s headquarters for the payment of their outstanding fees to CRFFN. “This shall put you in a stead to be financially updated for the purpose of the forthcoming election. “We also appreciate the ten million naira contribution of Engr. E. Umeadi and five million naira of the NAGAFF President, Chief Increase Uche in this regard. In due course NAGAFF may make further statement with regard to other great minds and young freight forwarders of NAGAFF membership who shall make further contribution. “It is on record that as today the number of NAGAFF members who are financially updated with CRFFN is heading to three thousand individual practitioners. The corporate freight forwarders are standing at two hundred and fifty numbers. Our target is to get at eight thousand individual practitioners and corporate members who are financially updated before the 25th of June, 2018 election date. “Dr. Aniebonam, founder NAGAFF is seating at the driver’s seat for CRFFN election 2018”, he declared gleefully. Aniebonam further disclosed that efforts of the association are geared towards winning all the 15 positions allotted to the five federating member associations, which include NAGAFF, ANLCA, MCMDLCA, AREFFN and NAFFAC. He however promised that NAGAFF was willing to partner with other associations for all-inclusive Council but where such fails, they shall not hesitate to clear all the 15 seats as the NAGAFF is already assured of a sweeping victory in the coming elections. © 2018, maritimemag.
