HeadlinesKudos & KnocksKudos or Knocks Freight forwarders’ marriage of convenience or necessity? By maritimemag November 14, 2021 ShareTweet 0 Kudos to the five registered freight forwarding groups in the industry for coming together to form a formidable alliance. ANLCA, NAGAFF, Council of Managing Directors, AREFFN and NAFFAC have come together in a rare show of solidarity to fight the arrogant shipping companies that have over the years feasted on the division among the Customs brokers. This is what wasn’t there in past years, a division which the shrewd shipping companies have taken advantage of to perpetrate their mindless impunity. This new alliance, in whatever guise it was formed, no doubt will earn the groups a new vista to achieve a lot in fighting the ills in the industry, especially issues that concern freight forwarding business. The new marriage, if not undermined by ego, will surely bring something good to the industry because there have been such marriages in the past that hit the rock. However, other divisive groups in the industry should share from this and learn to do things in common and do away with empty ego. Kudos to the initiators © 2021, maritimemag. All rights reserved.
