By maritimemag February 9, 2020 ShareTweet 0 Segun Oladipupo As part of its trade promotion role, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council on Saturday handed over a parcel of land more than ten hectares in Jos to Messrs Topwide Ventures Limited. This is contained in a release made available to nigeriamaritime360.com by the Corporate Affairs unit of the Council in Lagos. The statement said that the 10 hectares was behind Heipang His Container Depot in His, Plateau State. It stated further that the land is meant for the establishment of a Tin-smelting Plant. The statement read, “This will add value to the Heipaing-Jos Inland Container Depot and generate revenue for the government, promote employment within the vicinity of the project and provide ready export cargo for the Depot on a sustainable basis. “The handing over ceremony was performed by the Director Inland Transport services, Mr. A.N Makinde on behalf of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Barr.
