Headlines Easter: Ensure Continuous Round the Clock Security of our Navigable Waterways – AIG, MPC By maritimemag March 29, 2024 ShareTweet 0 By Abiodun OBA Heads of Commands and Formations under the Maritime Police command (MPC) administrative and operational control have been directed to intensify emplacement of watertight security of the nations’ inland and navigable waterways, ports, harbours, and the entire maritime domain during and after the forthcoming Easter celebrations. The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Maritime Police Command, Lagos, AIG Olofu Rhoda Adetutu gave the directive in her address to the Management Team, and the officers and men under her watch in readiness for the Easter break. A statement by the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer, of the Maritime Command, Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos, ASP Ehinmode, A. Rowland, the AIG further enjoined officers to demonstrate high level professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties while ensuring that there is no security breach in their areas of responsibility. Ehinmode emphasized that “AIG Olofu Rhoda advocated for dedication, commitment, unwavering loyalty and resilience from every personnel of the Command in the course of performing their duties, while encouraging them to shun corruption, build team spirit and be professional in their conducts”. © 2024, maritimemag.
