By maritimemag October 29, 2020 ShareTweet 0 Chinazor Megbolu | The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), is awaiting presidential directive before announcing the winners of the marginal fields bid round. The nation’s oil and gas industry regulatory agency maintained awaiting the approval of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Timipre Sylvia before announcing the results of the marginal fields bid round. The agency said they have rounded up with the analysis of the bids in the last two weeks and sent the results to the Minister who in turn would deliver it to President Muhammadu Buhari. In another development, the DPR has hinted that the Nigerian oil and gas industry performed above global average in the management of the coronavirus pandemic in their areas of operations in the country. The agency pointed out that the relative success was the result of the collective sacrifices of industry stakeholders in implementing enhanced measures of the recent circulars issued by it in line with the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
