By maritimemag June 26, 2018 ShareTweet 0 Abiodun Obadayo | The Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Enforcement, Investigation and Inspection, Aminu Dangaladima, said with the 30 additional Toyota Hilux Patrol vehicles from the Federal Government, the response time of the Service at the scene of any smuggling activity would be swift and decisive. The Service on Monday received the 30 additional Toyota Hilux Patrol vehicles from the Federal Government to boost its anti-smuggling campaign. The Deputy Comptroller-General said, “On June 11, the Service received the first batch of 20 Toyota Hilux vehicles as part of the Federal Government support to curtail smuggling of prohibited items, especially rice. “With this robust support coming from the Federal Government, NCS today is in a better position to deal decisively with the enemies of Nigeria’s security and economic prosperity”. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the 30 vehicles received on Monday by the Service brought to 50 the total received so far. Dangaladima urged officers that would be using these vehicles to make proper use of them to achieve the desired result. He also appealed to the general public, especially the border community dwellers, to support the Service by providing useful information on smuggling activities around their communities.
