Recall that the Council had recently through an online recruitment agency; ngcareer.com advertised that the position was vacant after the former Registrar, Mike Jukwe retired from service. It was gathered that about 900 applicants applied for the post but Barrister Nwakahu emerged the successful candidate after thorough scrutiny was carried out. Dr. Alban Igwe Director, Training, CRFFN and Dr. Eugene Nweke, a former president of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) were among the 900 applicants vying for the Council’s topmost position. Insider source confirmed to our correspondent on Monday in Lagos that the new Registrar had been unveiled to the staff in Lagos office of the agency as he was said to have visited the secretariat. However, the Registrar will officially invite the media for a chat soon prior to his resumption of office very soon.
