President Mohammadu Buhari has extended the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun states and the Federal Capital Territory (FTC), Abuja by additional one week. In a nationwide broadcast yesterday, President Buhari stated that the lockdown would be relaxed in gradual and phased method from Monday, May 4th, 2020. According to him, from May 4th, selected businesses would be opened from 8am to 6 pm while there will be a curfew between 8pm to 6pm. During the relaxed period, there would be compulsory wearing of face masks at public places, restriction on social and religious gathering will remain in place. There would be partial and controlled interstate movement. However, #Kano state was excepted as the state was placed on total lockdown for the next 2 weeks.
