HeadlinesKudos & KnocksKudos or KnocksTransport COMTUA: one week, one trouble By maritimemag December 5, 2021 ShareTweet 0 The Council for Maritime Truck Unions and Associations (COMTUA) is a body of truck owners established to help rid port access roads of avoidable gridlocks The body under the first leadership suffered trust failure and it was reconstituted for efficiency. Not long after, the two major constituents, MWUN an NARTO backed out, alleging that the body had deviated from its original purpose Not rattled, COMTUA came out to state that withdrawal of the two major bodies will not have any impact on its operations. The issue of interest is how impactful has this body been since its inauguration? Has there been reduction in extortion along the port access roads? Has the perennial gridlock has in anyway reduced? Enough of talks without actions or results to show performance. © 2021, maritimemag. All rights reserved.
