Buba Marwa appoints Sarat Braimah, NIWA Lagos boss, Aniebonam, NAGAFF Founder, as NDLEA Ambassadors

Brigadier General, Buba Marwa (RTD), Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA), has appointed the duo of Engineer Sarat Lara Braimah, the Lagos Area Manager of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Chief Boniface Aniebonam, the Founder of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF)  as the Ambassador of War Against Drug Abuse
The appointment of the duo  translates to the fact that they will henceforth assist NDLEA in propagating the message against drug abuse in their areas of jurisdiction.
While Engineer Braimah will champion the anti- drug crusade  among boat operators and other stakeholders within the Lagos waterways, Chief Aniebonam will preach the anti- drug gospel among freight forwarders in the maritime sector.

At a brief ceremony held at NIWA Lagos office at CMS Marina recently, the NDLEA boss stated that Engr. Sarat Braimah was appointed in accordance to President Muhamandu Buhari’s inaugural address, commemorating the 2O21 United Nations International Day against drug Abuse and illicit drug Trafficking, a war which must be fought by well meaning citizens.

According to General Marwa, Engr Braimah is expected to synergize and collaborate with NDLEA in propagating the war against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking through her official and private engagement as responsible and top notch officer of government.

Presenting the official letter of appointment and decorative pin to the Area Manager, the Assistant Director, Seaport Operations who stood in for NDLEA boss, explained that the NIWA boss has shown noticeable commitment in assisting NDLEA in the discharge of its duties in Lagos, hence her nomination and appointment by Gen Marwa.

In her brief remarks and acceptance speech, Ambassador Sarat Braimah, praised the dedication and sacrifice of NDLEA under General Marwa, adding that the community to community approach to arresting the very disturbing rise in drug trafficking, is the best way to go.

She promised to do whatever possible to assist the agency, particularly in propagating the message against drugs abuse among boat Operators in Lagos  and other stakeholders within the waterways transportation community.

Apart from Mr Ekundayo Williams, the Assistant Director Seaport Operations who led the NDLEA team to NIWA Office, others were Hanatu Hassan, Charles Onojedje  and Chanaka Danladi.
