Apapa traffic gridlock as honey pot for security agents

0

The traffic situation in Apapa and Tincan will never be done away with as long as the authorities in charge fold their arms  and look away from the extortions ravaging the sector.

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council last week rose against the unilateral and illegal Peak Season Surcharge proposed by international shipping lines.

That is how to be active. The agency has risen and spoken against the odd.

In the case of extortion that truck owners lament daily on the roads is sickening and it is beginning to look as if some people are above the law.

Why are the security agents including NPA, Nigeria Police and other security operatives involved never brought to book?

Are there no way the complaints of the truckers could be investigated and the culprits nabbed and brought to book?

Or is it a case of the servants doing the bidding of the oga at the top?

If nothing is done, we want to believe there is more to it than meets the eye.
