The National President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has lost elections into the House of Representatives under North and South Constituency of Anambra State.

He contested under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)

According to the Independent Electoral Commission in Anambra State, Professor Austin Igwe, Tony lost to a candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates, Chief Chris Azubuogu.

Azubuogu garnered 54,533 votes to his credit, out of the 89,964 votes cast, while Tony Iju got only 18, 811 votes.

When he was contacted for clarification, the Acting National Publicity Secretary of ANLCA, Obicee Okonkwo promises to get back to our correspondent but he never did.

Other sources within ANLCA who pleaded anonymity also said “I think the president lost the election, we have been trying to reach him but nobody has been able to get across to him”

Azubugo popularly known as ‘Mr Project’ is returning to the House of Representatives for the third time.
