The Asociation of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has insisted that management of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) must produce the officers involved in the shooting of one of its members at Mile 2 area of Lagos in Wednesday.

Recall that the officers attempted to apprehend a 2019 model Toyota RAV4 which was reportedly duly exited from PTML terminal at Mile 2 after payment of Customs duty and all other taxes.

Eye witness accounts stated that  the victim, Ademola Quadri, was shot in the leg when he was trying to park the vehicle while the officers thought he wanted to beat the officers.

Speaking with our correspondent, the Vice President of ANLCA,  Kayode Farinto, said that investigations are ongoing and that the association was on top of the matter.

He added that the group was also working on securing the release of the seized vehicle even as he insisted that the officers must be produced to face the consequence of their actions.

Meanwhile, the officers who hounded the victim down are still walking as free men.

When our correspondent contacted the Public Relations Officer of FOU Zone A, Deputy Superintendent of Customs, Theophilus Duniya, he simply stated that investigation was ongoing.

Further enquiries about if the officers have been identified or arrested was parried by the image maker of the unit

He simply said, “Investigation is on going.”

Further probe met with resistance as he only said, “I just answered you, please.”
