In a memo dated 24th January, 2022 and signed by the Director Maritime Service, Ministry of Transportation, A.D. Suleiman on behalf of the Minister, said the meeting would hold on Wednesday at the FMoT conference room The memo stated, “Sequel to our earlier letter Ref. No. T.4252/S.8/C.15/T/ dated 25” November, 2021 in which the meeting with the Honourable Minister could not hold due to exigencies of work, I am directed to invite all contestants who purchased Forms for the election into the Governing Board of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) to a meeting with the Honourable Minister of Transportation scheduled to hold as follows: “Date: Wednesday, 26” January, 2022 Venue: Federal Ministry of Transportation Conference Room, 8th Floor, Abuja Time: 3.00pm . “Please, accept the assurances of the warm regards of the Honourable Minister. Recall that the election into the board has generated some hues since expiration of the tenure of the last board members as individual candidacy was opposed in some quarters by leaders of associations. Meanwhile, some people who are no longer members of associations believe they have the right to contest the position owing to provisions of the Act establishing the Council. © 2022, maritimemag.
