HeadlinesKudos & Knocks All hail NIMASA! By maritimemag October 5, 2019 ShareTweet 0 Thumb up for Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) for bringing 38 navies of different countries together to seek out ways to permanently put out the menace of insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea. This effort signals a commitment to actually tackle the hydra headed monster that has put the country in the negative light among comity of maritime nations. The activities of criminals in the Gulf of Guinea have not only increased threat of insecurity but also increased the cost of international business in the with the region. This global onslaught will no doubt calm the activities of the dare devils criminals as well as restore sanity and normalcy to the GoG. However, the agency should maximise the opportunity to achieve substantial feat and not return with mere talks without actions. © 2019, maritimemag. All rights reserved.
