The organisation disclosed this in a statement signed by the Air Peace Spokesperson, Mr. Stanley Olisa, that it will resume regular commercial flight operations from Lagos to the city of Johannesburg, South Africa, soon. The statement also stated that the commencement of the flight operations is in keeping with its vision of the airline towards providing seamless connectivity across major cities. The company explained it has made progress in meeting the stipulated requirements of the aviation authorities in both South Africa and in the country, which enables it to launch flight operations into the country before the end of 2020. Olisa pointed out that South Africa is one of the destinations that the Federal Government had chosen Air Peace to operate into. He disclosed that Lagos- Johannesburg -Lagos flight operations would be done thrice weekly. He noted that the Lagos – Johannesburg flight operation is driven by the airline’s ‘no-city-left-behind’ initiative, towards interconnecting cities with the provision of safe, comfortable, and cost-effective flights. Olisa, however, maintained that the airline is always committed to add more connections to its route network. He also declared that aside South Africa, the company is also mapping out plans to operate commercial flights into Mumbai, London, Guangzhou-China, Houston amongst others. “We shall continue to strategically increase existing connections to give our customers more network options while also creating more employment opportunities for Nigerians”, Olisa said © 2020, maritimemag.
